It's a little after 9PM here and we just returned from our anniversary dinner. We went to dinner at a place Maryann read about in "Food and Wine" magazine. It is the Bluestem Cafe on Westporrt Road in Kansas City, MO. It was absolutely marvelous. The ambience was great and the food was spectacular. We shared a bottle of Honig Sauvignon Blanc. Maryann had a veal chop and I had scallops. For dessert a bittersweet chocolate cake for me and a butterscotch pound cake for her were the perfect way to end the meal.
If you are looking for a special place to have a marvelous meal in the Kansas City area the Bluestem Cafe is a great place. Reservations are required.
