Have I been abandoned by the muse?

It has been a while since I had something to say that seemed to be of some importance. Lately, I seem to be spending my energy commenting to others' blogs. It is something I enjoy. It is amazing how friendships can develop in cyber-space.

I marvel at the candor of those folks who's blogs I visit. While I don't always have something to say, I do enjoy reading what others write. It is taking me time to get used to the "netiquette" required, but it is worth it.

I can see why totalitarian regimes want to curtail the use of this "wicked" method of communication. Perish the thought that people should share their own specific, personal views of the world. Challenging ideas only works when you challenge the other person's views. Hogwash. (That is the term I was going to google to determine its origin. I'll have to remember to do that later.)

OK, I couldn't resist using another browser to check it out. There are 1,030,000 hits for "hogwash". I think I will have to narrow the search down a bit.

According to "Sherlock" this is the meaning: hogwash n : unacceptable behavior (especially ludicrously false statements) [syn: bunk, bunkum, buncombe, guff, rot]

Now that I've gotten that out of my system, where was I? Oh yes, some drivel about challenging ideas. I must admit that I have had some marvelous challenges to some of my views of the world. I am very appreciative of those challenges, and look forward to more of them.

Well, it is getting on to lunch time and The young and the restless is on.

As you know you challenge my views all the time, Jack and it comes with the side order of re-thinking things through to make sure that IS what I think. Hopefully this, the internet and blogging ideas, will put paid to the autocracies, theocracies and dictatorships of the future.
Keep your ideas coming...they add to the delicious mixture of the variety in human thought.

Allison, I agree with you about paying off the autocracies, theocracies and dictatorships of the future.

I hope to write more about some of these things later. Tomorrow I get to go to work in the afternoon. Maryann comes along and grades test papers for me. We get to have lunch out and we really enjoy that.

Jack,
You're tagged. Do a list of four.
Please.

Now my curiosity is up; what is a list of four? Is it as simple as it sounds or is there some other meaning to it?

Challenging viewpoints is fun. Keeps everyone on their toes.

The list of four will be shown shortly. Thanks bird.

Thanks for your encouragement. Waiting until the mood strikes is my usual MO. It is nice to know others subscribe to that too.
