January 3, 2006 Early AM

Here it is, the third day of the new year, and I am just getting around to posting something. You might think I have been much too busy doing other important things to get to this. You would be partly right. After all, I have gotten these things accomplished:

• Entered the HGTV dream home sweepstakes and added the reminder to my calendar so that I can do it every day.
• Picked up trash in the yard on January first. The weather was too beautiful to just remain inside. Besides, Maryann needed me to carry the trash bag and dump it once or twice. Well I did say it was nice out. The temperature was in the low 60's.
• Polish the kitchen cabinets. There is something about seeing the wood grain through the new shine.
• Tried to find a recipe for sticky buns. I think I found a couple that I can put together.
• Continued, for the third day, my decision to walk for twenty minutes, daily, on the treadmill.
  

Not much for two days of semi-retired life, but a guy has to do something.

Perhaps I can post something later on.
