Around 0845 this AM the first load of plants arrived. About a half hour later the planting crew and the rest of the materials/plants arrived. The work is underway and they are making great progress.
I have been taking photos during the planting and will post some here and on Flickr when the job is done. Probably by tomorrow.
So, keep checking back.

hey readers...dad's cable was also cut during the planting (not by the dudes doing the planting, but their boss who was checking on them). he should be up and running soon though. :)
i'm sure we're all looking forward to seeing the flowers. you take amazing botanical photos, dad!

croad- funny story: I'm at work and I see I have missed a call on my cell phone (I never pick up, unless A. I hear it and then only if B. nobody is in the shop.
I checked to see who it was, assuming it was my husband, and saw 'Mom and Dad'...and they left a voice mail. I was sure that it had something to do with one of my grandmothers, until I listened to the message. It was the above 'cable cut, back on thursday, don't worry 'bout us.' I called him immediately and told him he was never allowed to make my heart jump to my throat like that ever again! :)
